Yes! I've done it!
I have finally submitted my first piece of literature for a contest!
I'm freakishly nervous.
I'm pretty aware of the fact that I'm not likely going to win anything, but just posting it has made it super excited.
I've had the idea for probably over a year, but I've never gotten around to typing it up, and here was the perfect opportunity!

~zefiraelRain's SPINECHILLING WORDS CONTEST.
Anyone who reads my journals whose a writer should seriously give it a try. The prizes are awesome!

GOD DAMN BIRDS.
There are birds in my chimney, and they. won't. shut. UP.
You know, they weren't this annoying earlier. They were last year, but that's a story I think I already told...
And, anyways, one flew into the living room a few minutes ago. I was just finishing up the story, when I 'sensed' the bird falling down the chimney. In one of those slow-mo sequences, there was me, at the computer, me slowly turning around to see this bird pop out of the chimney, the bird beating its wings before it hits the ground and beginning to fly with its beak aimed at my eye, me freaking out and running away screaming..."There's a bird in the house! AHH! Bird! Living room! Frig! "
Yeah, have I mentioned I've cut back on most of my swearing and only saying Frig? Hooray for me!
